Privacy Policy

We collect information in the following ways:

• Account information — name, email address, phone number, password (stored hashed), role (creator, brand, agency), profile details, and preferences you provide during signup or in settings.
• Profile and marketplace data — bio, photos, campaign details, applications, messages, reviews, and other content you submit on Musuvi.
• Payment information — when you pay or receive payments through Musuvi, transactions are processed by our payment partners (e.g. Razorpay). We receive transaction IDs, amounts, and status — not full card numbers.
• Usage and device data — IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and similar technical logs used for security, debugging, and improving the Service.
• Communications — messages sent through Musuvi, support requests, and email notifications related to your account.

If you choose to connect an Instagram professional (Creator or Business) account, Musuvi uses Meta's official Instagram APIs. This section describes that integration in detail.

2.1 What we access

Depending on the permissions you grant during Instagram authorization, we may access:

• Instagram account ID, username, profile picture, biography, and account type
• Public and professional metrics (followers, engagement, reach, impressions, and audience demographics where available)
• Media metadata on your account (posts, reels, thumbnails, captions, likes, comments counts) for display and analytics on your Musuvi profile
• Instagram Direct messages and comments on your own account when you enable automation features (e.g. auto-replies, comment-to-DM flows)

2.2 How we use Instagram data

• Display verified or public Instagram insights on your Musuvi profile
• Help brands discover creators and evaluate fit for campaigns
• Sync profile photos and stats so your Musuvi profile stays up to date
• Operate Creator Tools you configure (link-in-bio pages, lead forms, automated Instagram messages, and related features)
• Improve reliability, prevent abuse, and comply with Meta policies

We do not sell Instagram data. We do not use Instagram data to build unrelated advertising profiles.

2.3 Permissions and authorization

Musuvi uses Instagram Login (Business Login for Instagram). You authorize access through Meta's consent screen. Current permissions may include:

• instagram_business_basic— read profile and account information
• instagram_business_manage_insights— read insights and audience demographics
• instagram_business_manage_comments— read and manage comments on your media (for automation you enable)
• instagram_business_manage_messages— send and receive Instagram Direct messages on your behalf when you enable messaging automation

You can disconnect Instagram at any time from your Musuvi dashboard. This revokes our access to new data via Meta's authorization system and stops automated messaging features tied to your account.

2.4 Automated messaging

If you enable Auto DMs or similar tools, Musuvi may send automated Instagram messages based on rules you configure (for example, when someone comments a keyword on your post or sends you a DM). Automated experiences may identify themselves as automated where required by law or Meta policy. You are responsible for the content of messages and automations you configure.

2.5 Data sharing with Meta

When you connect Instagram, your use of Instagram is also governed by Instagram's Terms of Use and Meta Privacy Policy. Data flows between Musuvi and Meta only as needed to provide features you request.

Features such as link-in-bio pages, lead forms, and digital product listings may collect information that visitors submit to you (names, emails, phone numbers, etc.). You are the controller of that visitor data; Musuvi processes it on your behalf to deliver the feature (storage, notifications, display on your profile). Do not collect personal data you do not need, and ensure your own disclosures to visitors are accurate.

We may share information with:

• Other users — profile information, public stats, campaign listings, and messages you choose to send through the platform
• Service providers — hosting, email, analytics, payment processing, and infrastructure partners who process data under contractual obligations
• Meta / Instagram — when you connect Instagram or use Instagram-related features
• Legal and safety — when required by law, to protect rights, safety, and security, or to enforce our terms

We do not sell your personal information.

We retain account and profile data while your account is active. Instagram insights and cached API responses may be stored to reduce API calls and improve performance (typically refreshed on a schedule, e.g. every 24 hours). Messaging automation logs may be retained to prevent duplicate sends and for troubleshooting. You may request deletion of your account; we will delete or anonymize personal data within a reasonable period except where retention is required by law or legitimate business needs (e.g. payment records).

• Update profile and account settings in your Musuvi dashboard
• Disconnect Instagram from Profile or Settings
• Opt out of non-essential marketing emails via unsubscribe links
• Request access, correction, or deletion by emailing hello@musuvi.io

Depending on your location, you may have additional rights under GDPR, UK GDPR, or similar laws (e.g. objection, restriction, portability). We will respond to verified requests within applicable timeframes.

We use industry-standard measures to protect data, including HTTPS, access controls, and secure credential storage. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Musuvi may process data in countries where we or our providers operate. When we transfer data internationally, we use appropriate safeguards as required by applicable law.

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes may be communicated by email or in-app notice where appropriate.
